Our inlet and outlet silencers are selected to suit your exact noise requirement, with designs for either indoor or outdoor use available. Industrial silencer casings are fabricated from heavy gauge steel, with lighter gage material available for commercial duty silencers. Special materials and paints are used when high temperatures or corrosive gases are present in the airstream.

When the noise level emanating through a fan housing exceeds permitted levels, one method to consider for reducing transmitted noise is fan cladding. Housing cladding consists of a specified thickness of acoustic insulation, covered by a layer of metal. The main benefit of this method is that it avoids the need to ventilate the motor, which is necessary when using a noise enclosure. Cladding is also beneficial where there are space restrictions, which can also be an issue when a noise enclosure is employed. |

Inlet box silencers can be used to silence the inlet of a fan as well as direct the air, with pre-spin, into the fan inlet. These units can be oriented to direct the air into the inlet from any direction. Other features can include inlet filtration, inlet dampers, and weather hoods.

Acoustical enclosures can be used to isolate loud machinery, or to isolate personnel from surrounding noise sources in an industrial environment. Enclosures can be designed with a number of features such as doors, windows, or connections to fit your application.

Acoustic flexible connections are constructed with an inner and outer flexing member with acoustic insulation held in the cavity. These units will contain the noise produced by the fan and keep it within the ductwork. Acoustic flex connections will typically be designed to have transmission losses equal to the fan casing and ductwork.
